How wonderful that you’ve found us here at Restaurant Alter Tobelhof. We are de-lighted to welcome you to our little corner of paradise on the outskirts of Zurich. ‘We’ are Pascal Käser, Wiebke Kehmann-Krause and Birger Kehmann, and our goal is to bring joy to your plate and a smile to your face.  

We have the privilege of being able to host you in a very special place. A place with an amazing view and its own unique charm. Formerly the living quarters of the old Alter Tobelhof farmstead, the recently renovated, half-timbered, listed building will enchant you with its ornately furnished interior and delightful sun terrace. Come visit us on Zurich’s highest alp, an oasis amidst all the hustle and bustle, with plenty of history and tradition of its own.


Swiss à-la-carte-cuisine


At the heart of our Swiss à la carte dishes are regional and seasonal products from sustainable sources and our own in-house production. We maintain close links with our local producers and set great store by top-quality, fresh ingredients, making good use of our own herb garden whenever possible. We’ll spoil you with cooking that’s out of this world, right here on Earth. Whether you’re in your glad rags or hiking gear, you’ll always be most welcome here. «Einfach so, wie man is(s)t» –‘Be, or eat, as you are’ – that’s our motto.
